Cellini’s Ristorante Pizzeria

This great looking Pizza Restaurant and Take Away is close to many in the eastern suburbs, located handily at Frenchman’s Bay Road Randwick but closer to Bronte/Bondi Junction.

I ordered one of the gourmet pizza’s (I didn’t see they also offer standard pizza’s until I got home & read the menu leaflet in more details). I could tell from the look of the place that it was stylish and they have wons lots of awards from reading the brochure and it was inviting, friendly and not intimidating. The pizza was quite expensive at $16.90 for a medium size pizza which is good to full one hungry adult despite their brochure claiming that the meals are affordable but for the standard and smaller pizzas then they are affordable so it is fair I guess.

As for the pizza, well I ordered a chicken pizza and I have no idea why, I guess I felts bit pressured to order as I had 3 staff there waiting for me to order when I first walked in. I would have preferred another meat as I have never been a big fan on chicken in pizzas, it looks like this restaurant is big on chicken though but they do offer a lot of alternatives to satisfy everyone. The pizza was exceptional even though it was chicken, I ate every last bite and it tasted wonderful although I still don’t like chicken in pizzas, the crust was just right with no taste of flour etc that you can taste at Italian wannabe pizza outlets, the base had a wonderful light flavour and cooked to perfection, the toppings were nicely spread out and were fresh and tasty. The only complain I have is that it needed a touch of green, some avocado or spinach would have been nice. There was an awful lot of banging and voices coming from out the back, what can you expect though as they were very busy and it was in prime dining time. Talking about spinach, I would love to see them offer a pizza reflecting more Mediterranean using English spinach & feta.

I would definitely go back, in fact I will go back often as I live nearby.
