An Italian restaurant offering pizza & pasta located just minutes from Randwick in Peruse st where a number of cafes and restaurants are located. This place always looks busy when I have gone past it so I was looking forward to trying it out.
I ordered Boscaiola pasta, fettuccini with a flat white coffee. The man who served me was sort of friendly while the waitress looked like she was there only because she had to.
The meal was tasty but nothing special, it was a little small and it was just the cream that really filled me up. Pasta made of fattening cream is pretty outdated. I also thought the restaurant was not too clean looking as was the staff that looked little hung over and taking breaks for a smoke. I’m not sure I would go back here in a hurry.
Address: Randwick. 47 Peruse Street Randwick

This is my favorite place to have lunch in the city in Sydney. You can select from a variety of fresh salads, meats and drinks like real fruit freshly squeezed or smoothies. The salads are very fresh, while the sandwiches which are made fresh as you wait come in thick wholesome breads. If you want a fresh, healthy lunch in the city then this place is the place to eat.

This café is located at the top of Paddington next to an old church on newcombe street mall. There is indoor & outdoor seating available and I chose to sit outside on a bright sunny early autumn afternoon.
There was a woman who looked like the owner who was welcoming and the waitress was polite & friendly. I ordered a coffee and then checked out the menu which was not too expensive for this area and they had a good range of dishes. I ordered a Brioni special which was a ficoccia of chicken breast, spinach, tomato & tasty cheese.
I didn’t have to wait long for my meal and it was fresh & pleasant to eat. The only negative was I was not asked if I would like another coffee etc but besides that the Brioni café is recommended for an enjoyable & inexpensive lunch in Paddington, Sydney in a pleasant setting.
